Steps to Install the CYRISMA Agent for Windows
Ensure You Have Admin Rights
Make sure you are logged in with administrative rights on the device where you will install the agent.
Download the Installer
- Log in to your CYRISMA instance.
- Navigate to Admin > Scan Agents and download the Cyrisma_setup.exe from the Agent Download section.

Run the Installer
- Once the file is downloaded, double-click on the Cyrisma_setup.exe file to begin the installation process.
- The setup will prompt for elevation of permission (admin rights) and request the installation key and URL for the CYRISMA instance that will host this agent.
- Enter the correct key and URL (found in Admin > Scan Agents under Agent Download) to proceed.

Completion Confirmation
- Once the installation is successful, a popup will confirm that the Sensor Service setup is complete.
Post-Installation Configuration
Add the New Agent in CYRISMA
- Log in to the Command Center of your CYRISMA instance.
- Navigate to Admin > Scan Agents and click on the New Agent button at the bottom right of the screen.
Assign the Agent
- A window labeled Add New Agents will pop up, and the machine you just installed the agent on will appear in the list near the bottom.
Configure for Local or Network Scans
For Local Scans Only: If the agent will only be used for local scans (not as a network-based sensor), select "Yes" when asked, Agent only runs local scans? Select the machine(s) from the list and submit the configuration.
For Network-Based Scans: If the agent will be used for network-based scanning, select "No" to Agent only runs local scans? and provide the network Service Account credentials.
- This network account will need Admin rights on other machines in the network.
- Ensure you use the NetBIOS name of the domain for the domain entry, and follow the CYRISMA agent’s password policy when creating the credential.
- Select the machine(s) from the list and click Submit.
Monitoring and Updates
- Once the agent is added, it will appear under Admin > Scan Agents in the main screen. You can check the Agent Status to monitor the agent's performance.
- The CYRISMA agent will auto-update itself as new versions are released, ensuring that your scanning capabilities remain up to date.
