The Schedule a Secure Baseline Scan section allows you to create, configure, and schedule scans to assess your environment's compliance with best practice benchmarks, such as the CIS (Center for Internet Security) Benchmarks. Follow these steps to create and schedule a Secure Baseline Scan:
Navigate to Secure Baseline at the top of your screen and click on Scheudle a Scan
1. Assign a Scan Name
Provide a name for the scan that is:
Specific: Helps to clearly identify this scan or series of scans.
Unique: Avoids confusion with other scans.
For recurring scans, use a name that reflects the purpose or frequency of the scans.
2. Set the Scan Schedule
Choose when the scan should run:
Run Now: Initiates the scan immediately as soon as the agent has availability.
One-Time: Schedule the scan to run at a specific future date and time.
Recurring: Set up a regular scan schedule by specifying:
The recurrence pattern (e.g., daily, weekly, or monthly).
The time and duration for the scans.
3. Set Notification Preference
Determine if email notifications are required upon scan completion:
Yes: Select a recipient from the dropdown list. Only users configured by the Command Center Administrator under ADMIN > Users will appear in this list.
No: Skip notifications if they are not needed.
4. Set the Offline Delay
The Offline Delay option specifies the maximum time the scan will wait for agents that are currently offline to come back online. Once the offline delay time expires:
The scan will mark agents still offline as incomplete in the scan results.
The scan will complete for the agents that are online.
Use the dropdown to adjust the offline delay duration. This is particularly useful for group scans where some targets may not be immediately accessible.
