How Billing is Determined
Our pricing model is based on the higher of two metrics:
- Endpoint Count – This includes the number of laptops, desktops, and servers being monitored.
- Microsoft Licenses – This includes the number of Microsoft user accounts being scanned and monitored for email activity.
If a client has a higher count of Microsoft licenses compared to their endpoint count, the billing will reflect the Microsoft license count. This is because we are actively scanning and monitoring those email accounts, which requires additional resources and capabilities.
Example Scenario:
- Endpoints: 50
-
Microsoft Licenses: 75
In this case, the client will be billed for 75 users, as it exceeds the endpoint count.
Key Takeaway:
You will be billed based on the higher value between your endpoint count and Microsoft user licenses.
FAQs:
1. Why am I billed for Microsoft licenses if I have fewer endpoints?
Billing for Microsoft licenses applies because our monitoring includes scanning and securing all email accounts tied to those licenses. This is crucial for providing the full scope of security and protection.
2. What happens if the endpoint count increases later?
If the endpoint count surpasses the number of Microsoft licenses, billing will adjust to reflect the higher endpoint count at the next billing cycle.
3. Can I review my billing details?
Yes, feel free to reach out to your account manager to review your billing details and ensure accuracy.
