Issue
O365 scans fail when using a global admin account due to invalid password configurations. The error highlights password requirements and disallowed special characters.

Resolution Steps

1. Review Password Requirements

Ensure the global admin account's password complies with the following rules:

  • Must be at least 8 characters long.
  • Must include a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and digits.
  • Special characters are allowed but limited to: ), @, !, -, _, (.
  • Passwords must not contain spaces.

Note: The period (".") is not an allowed special character.

2. Update Password

  • Log in to your O365 global admin account.
  • Update the password to comply with the requirements mentioned above.
  • Remove any disallowed special characters, such as the period (".").

3. Test the O365 Scan

  • Once the password has been updated, retry running the O365 scans using the global admin credentials.
  • Confirm that the scan initiates successfully without errors.
