1. Agent Configuration

Ensure that the selected agent is configured with the necessary credentials:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Scan Agents within your CYRISMA instance.
  2. Locate the agent you wish to configure and click the Update button.
  3. Enter the required default credentials.
  4. Save the configuration.

The network discovery scan will now utilize these credentials to connect to remote hosts.

2. Service Configuration for OS-Based Targets

If you are scanning OS-based targets where direct agent installation is not possible, additional service configuration is required on the host performing the scan:

Access the Services Panel

  • Open the Services application on the scanning host.
  • Locate the service named CYRISMA_Agent.

Modify Log On Settings

  • Right-click the CYRISMA_Agent service and select Properties.
  • Go to the Log On tab.
  • Update the service to run as the account assigned to the agent.

Restart the Service

  • Apply the changes and restart the CYRISMA_Agent service.

This will ensure the agent uses the correct credentials when performing the scan.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Verify that all credentials are accurate and have the necessary permissions for network access.
  • Ensure the scanning machine is properly connected to the network.
  • Double-check that the CYRISMA_Agent service is running smoothly after restarting.
