1. Agent Configuration
Ensure that the selected agent is configured with the necessary credentials:
- Navigate to Admin > Scan Agents within your CYRISMA instance.
- Locate the agent you wish to configure and click the Update button.
- Enter the required default credentials.
- Save the configuration.
The network discovery scan will now utilize these credentials to connect to remote hosts.
2. Service Configuration for OS-Based Targets
If you are scanning OS-based targets where direct agent installation is not possible, additional service configuration is required on the host performing the scan:
Access the Services Panel
- Open the Services application on the scanning host.
- Locate the service named CYRISMA_Agent.
Modify Log On Settings
- Right-click the CYRISMA_Agent service and select Properties.
- Go to the Log On tab.
- Update the service to run as the account assigned to the agent.
Restart the Service
- Apply the changes and restart the CYRISMA_Agent service.
This will ensure the agent uses the correct credentials when performing the scan.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Verify that all credentials are accurate and have the necessary permissions for network access.
- Ensure the scanning machine is properly connected to the network.
- Double-check that the CYRISMA_Agent service is running smoothly after restarting.
