Step 1: Enable Cloud Scans for the Instance

Before adding a cloud agent, you must enable cloud scans during the instance setup.

Log into the MSP Interface:

  • Use your MSP credentials to access the CYRISMA MSP portal.

Navigate to the Instance Details:

  • Go to the Organization Details Dashboard for the specific instance where you want to enable the cloud agent.

Enable Cloud Scans:

  • Locate the row containing the instance's address.
  • Click the 'Update' button to open the Address Details modal.
  • Select the option to enable cloud scans for the instance. This step ensures that the CYRISMA cloud agent can be triggered and brought online.

Step 2: Install the Cloud Agent

Once cloud scans are enabled, you can proceed to add and install the agent.

Add the Cloud Agent:

  • In the Address Details modal, click the 'Add Agent' button. This action will initiate the provisioning of the cloud agent for the instance.

Install on Your Machine (Optional):

  • You can designate one of your own machines as a cloud agent. This is useful if you prefer to host the agent locally for specific scans.

Verify the Agent Status:

  • Ensure the cloud agent is online and checking in by reviewing its status in the MSP interface.

Troubleshooting Tips

Agent Not Checking In:

  • Confirm that cloud scans were enabled during the instance setup.
  • Verify network connectivity between the agent and the CYRISMA cloud platform.

Designating a Local Machine:

  • If using your machine as a cloud agent, ensure it meets the minimum system requirements and has the necessary permissions.

Agent Installation Issues:

  • Revisit the 'Update' settings in the MSP interface to confirm all configurations are correctly applied.
