Notes:
  1. Navigate to Vulnerability Scan:
    • After signing in to your account, go to the Vulnerability Scan section.
    • Click on Schedule a Scan to begin the process of creating a new scan.

Configure the New Scan:

  • In the Start New Scan form, fill in the following details:
  • In the field labeled Scan name, input a descriptive name for the scan. For example, "VS_EX_Web_1" to easily identify it later.
  • From the dropdown menu, choose External - Web Application URLs.
  • Input the public URLs of the customer’s websites. Ensure that multiple URLs are separated by commas.

  1. Set Notifications:
    • In the Notify When Complete section, select Yes to receive a notification when the scan finishes, or No if you prefer not to be notified.

  1. Schedule the Scan:
    • In the Schedule section, choose when the scan should run:
      • Now: The scan will begin immediately after submission.
      • One Time: The scan will run once at a specified later date and time.
      • Recurring: The scan will be scheduled to run at regular intervals you define.

  1. Submit the Scan:
    • Once all fields are filled out, click the Schedule Scan button to finalize and initiate the scan.
    • If necessary, you can use the Reset button to clear the form and start over.

Notes:

  • The scan will remain pending until the agent associated with the instance checks in. This typically occurs every 5 minutes.
  • Once the agent checks in and the scan begins, the system will adhere to the schedule you set (immediate, one-time, or recurring).
  • Ensure that the URLs you enter are public and specifically related to the customer you are scanning.
