Setup AD Monitor

This guide provides instructions on setting up an Entra ID Monitor and an on-premises AD Monitor within CYRISMA. Before setting up an Entra ID Monitor, ensure that your Office 365 configuration is complete under Admin > System Config.

Setting up Entra ID Monitor Setting up On-Premises AD Monitor


Setting up Entra ID Monitor

Navigate to Compliance

  • Go to Compliance > Set up AD Monitor.

Configure Entra ID Monitor

  • Provide a name for the monitor.
  • Select Monitor Type as Entra ID Monitor.

Notification and Scheduling Options

  • Choose whether to receive a summary notification once the scan finishes.
  • Select the desired Schedule Type:
    • Now: Runs the scan immediately, within a 5-minute window.
    • One-time: Schedules a single scan for a future date and time.
    • Recurring: Sets the scan to run on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.

Submit the Monitor

  • After configuring your preferences, submit the monitor to activate it.

Setting up On-Premises AD Monitor

Provide Monitor Details

  • Name your monitor and select Monitor Type as On Premise AD Monitor.

Select Domain Controller

  • Choose the AD domain controller from the list of available server machines.

Scheduling

  • Select the Schedule Type:
    • Now: Runs immediately within a 5-minute window.
    • One-time: Schedules a one-time future scan.
    • Recurring: Sets a scan schedule for weekly, monthly, or quarterly.

Notification Preference

  • Optionally, select to receive a summary notification once the scan completes.

Submit the Monitor

  • Finalize your setup by submitting the monitor.
