Issue
Agents that have been retired or do not belong to a specific group (e.g., DCG) are still appearing in reports, even after being removed from the instance.

Steps to Address the Issue

1. Verify Agent Removal

  • Confirm that the retired agent (e.g., Host-SQL95) is no longer active in your environment by navigating to Admin > Scan Agents.
  • For agents that do not belong to a specific group (e.g., DELLBVV3), ensure they are manually removed using the following steps:
    1. Locate the agent in the Scan Agents section.
    2. Click the pencil icon next to the agent.
    3. Select the Delete option.

2. Update the Report

  • After removing the agents, rerun a scan to refresh the data.
  • Navigate to the report section and confirm the agents no longer appear.

3. Troubleshooting Persistent Agent Listings

If the retired or removed agents still appear in the report after completing the above steps:

  • Verify that the scan has completed successfully.
  • Contact support with a detailed description of the issue, including screenshots of the report.

Resolution Summary

  • In the above case, Host-SQL95 was confirmed as retired but still appeared in reports.
  • The agent DELLBVV3 was successfully removed by the user but required a scan to update its status in reports.
  • A support call was arranged with a team member to address further questions about the portal and issue resolution.

Additional Notes

  • Always run a scan after removing agents to ensure reports reflect updated data.
  • Contact support if issues persist, or if additional training on the portal is required.
